You know the feeling. You get so excited for a three-day weekend only to have it pass before your eyes without doing a thing. Before you know it, you’re headed back to the daily grind on Tuesday morning.
Asheboro Honda is determined not to let that happen to you this Labor Day weekend. So we’ve constructed an itinerary for you so you can make the most of the holiday weekend signaling the last days of summer.
Asheboro Labor Day Weekend Event Schedule
Friday evening: Labor Day weekend means fall and fall means football. Head out to Southwestern Randolph High School to watch the Cougars play host to Wheatmore High School.
Saturday morning: Don’t stay out too late because the Asheboro Downtown Farmers’ Market opens at 7:00 am. This farmers’ market is only open for a few more weeks so take advantage of all those fresh summer strawberries and watermelons while you still can.
Saturday afternoon: Cruise your Honda over to the North Carolina Zoo to catch the Birds of Prey exhibit that’s happening on Saturday only. You may want to keep the sunroof closed for this one.
Saturday night: Head over to Four Saints Brewing Company. The tap room stays open until 11:00 pm and Tyler Millard will be performing live music beginning at 7:00 pm.
Sunday morning: Take in the great outdoors by visiting Birkhead Mountain Wilderness for a nice hike or Lake Reese for a Sunday stroll in a canoe.
Sunday afternoon: Fore! Catch an afternoon tee time at the popular Tot Hill Farm Golf Club and swing hard in case you hit it.
Sunday night: Take a break from the heat by heading over to Cinemark Asheboro to catch a showing of The Secret Life of Pets, Ben-Hur or other films. While sitting through the previews, think about how you don’t have to go to work the next day.
Monday morning: Sleep in! You don’t get to do that too often on Mondays so take advantage of this golden opportunity.
Monday afternoon: Climb out of bed and into a zip line at Richland Creek Zip Line Canopy Tour.
Monday evening: Zip over to Bicentennial Park to catch Blackwater Rhythm & Blues Band perform as part of the Asheboro Summer Concert Series. Spend zero time thinking about work the next day.
Tuesday morning: Stop into Asheboro Honda and brag to our friendly associates about your awesome Labor Day weekend.
